DON'T VOTE FOR OBAMA

Whate kind of bull is this (see below)? First Obama brings his poor white grandmother into a speech to defend the crap Rev. Wright says, and then this? How can we support someone who is willing to stand up for such bigotry and bullshit and consider the person spewing the bullshit to be his spiritual leader??? Inspirations speeches about hope and change will not help our economy. It will not improve the aftermath of the subprime crisis that has affected pretty much every part of our economy. Get real. There is no way to exit the recession that we are currently already in if we have such a demented leader. Pretty speeches about how its time for a change, and free health insurance for the poor folk by taxing the rich folk more will NOT save our economy. Don't vote Obama, unless you want to be in la la land while the economy falls apart.

The pastor whom Barack Obama calls his spiritual guide and mentor took a stunning shot at Bill Clinton this week, saying the ex-president did the same thing to black voters that "he did to Monica Lewinsky."

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright made the remarks in a sermon to his flock at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.

Some say black voters should support Hillary Rodham Clinton "because her husband was good to us," he said, according to The Baltimore Sun. "That's not true. He did the same thing to us that he did to Monica Lewinsky."

Obama (inset) put out a statement denouncing the comments.

"As I've told Reverend Wright, personal attacks such as this have no place in this campaign or our politics," Obama said.

"Like a member of my own family, there are things he says at times with which I deeply disagree," he said, but added that it doesn't "detract from my affection" for him.

So I just quit my first real job ever. I have the next month to be a bum. Not that I won't enjoy it - I'll get to be lazy, eat, sleep, hopefully work out my flabby stomach. But its somewhat depressing when you resign and no one really seems to care. I guess even though I knew I wasn't going to get a going away party, I expected it to be a bit more eventful. When I first got the offer for my first job, I really believed I could develop a long and successful career there. For people entering the business world right out of college, it's natural to be a little naive about how things work. You believe that if you try really hard, everyone will see that you are really smart and indispensable and compensation/promotion/recognition will follow in suit. Well, long story short, the business world doesn't exactly work that way. And there are hoards of really intelligent, right out of college, will work until they pass out kids who can take your place. But I guess people move around a lot on Wall Street - I'm sure I'll find a good home eventually.

The business world is rough. But it a way where people speak in riddles so you aren't really sure if they mean what they say or if they are walking around something cuz they want things to be pleasant and expect you to be able to read between the lines. Should you appreciate the fake pleasantness or prefer brutal honesty and get the truth. Maybe its me, or maybe its not...either way, something has to change.

Cape Cod Pics from Labor day weekend. Weather kinda put a damper on most activities. But we still seemed to have a lot of fun with lobsters. You would think we've never seen lobsters before.

Really nice beach at the tip of the Cape.

Putt putt, arcades and batting cages. Apparently, mini-golf is a very competitive sport for us.

I totally forgot there were a lot of assholes on Wall St. I guess I've been sheltered because I think the people I work with are great, but there are some total assholes who just gain satisfaction from trying to make you feel like shit. I think there is a huge difference between someone who is tough and expects a lot and a plain asshole. The assholes most likely like to congregate together and find other assholes that would fit their asshole club. I call this the GS mentality. I guess sometimes you don't appreciate what you have until you see how dry and barren the grass is on the other side. And in the business world, you always gotta thank the assholes for spending the time to be asshole-ish to you.

What do you do when you get confronted by the same problem over and over again? Do you just give up and accept things as they are? Because maybe thats the way it was meant to be and we can't expect to be the one of the lucky ones who have it all. Like fat people who've tried every diet in the book. Most diets don't work at all. Some initially feel like they have potential when a few pounds are shed, but turn out to be a short lived solution. So...what to do. It's kinda depressing when you work so hard to fix something and nothing works. I need help.
